Passion projects
I LAUNCHED CASQUETTE, a women's cycling lifestyle brand, in the summer of 2016 with a desire to change things up. The traditional cycling magazines didn't tell stories of women cyclists and didn't show pictures of them. It was almost as if we didn't exist...
Instead of creating a me-too version of the men's cycling content on offer, my desire was to do it differently – giving Casquette a stylish, intelligent and humorous spin.
I launched with a print title, website and social channels and I was truly bowled over (and massively relieved) by the positive reaction. People love the aesthetic, they are fully onboard with the feisty tone, and they applaud the fact that Casquette has provided a platform for women's cycling stories that doesn't exist anywhere else.
